Erika R. Greene

Erika Greene is an Owner and Member of Johnson Greene Law Group. She focuses her practice on commercial transactions, community associations law, and property disputes, as well as serving as lead counsel in general civil litigation matters in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
She has experience with complex litigation, business transaction matters, and estate administration and probate disputes.
In her practice, Erika represents large and small businesses, nonprofit associations, and individuals in matters involving breach of contract claims and tort actions, while also serving as general counsel to several commercial clients. Appearing before state and federal courts, she has been involved in multiple pro bono matters, including representing clients in the District of Columbia Superior Court and before the DC Office of Administrative Hearings, and is also a member of the DC Women's Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
Erika graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice where she was a Dean's scholar and received her Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia School of Law, after studying internationally at the University of Florence School of Law. Erika and her husband reside in coastal Georgia with their children.
Morgan T. Ashmore, Esq.

Morgan Ashmore is an associate attorney at Goodman Johnson Greene, where her practice focuses on civil litigation, community association disputes, landlord-tenant matters, and probate and estate administration.
She approaches her work with a practical, client-focused perspective shaped by experience in health-law research, corporate governance, and in-house counsel support.
Morgan began her legal career with the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, where she served as a Legal Resident and worked on regulatory, compliance, and global governance issues. She later joined the in-house legal department at Sephora USA’s San Francisco headquarters, first as a legal intern and then as a law clerk. There, she provided support on commercial real-estate and operations matters, contract drafting and review, and cross-functional legal compliance.
Before attending law school, Morgan worked at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, supporting operational and project-management work within the Brand Defining design studio. Her combined experience in large-scale corporate environments and policy-focused research informs her detail-oriented approach to client advocacy.
Morgan received her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in December 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Psychology from Oregon State University. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
Matthew J. McCarthy, Esq.

Matthew J. McCarthy practices in the area of administrative law and business law, with a focus on representing and advising companies in licensing matters during all phases of the licensing process, including application drafting, advising on municipal laws and requirements, and liaising with regulatory bodies on compliance issues. His work also includes general business litigation, internal investigations, international, sports, gaming and health law.
Matt previously served as regulatory enforcement counsel to the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission, an independent administrative body within the Maryland Department of Health and predecessor to the Maryland Cannabis Authority, before beginning private practice at Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm.
Matt is a 2008 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School. Earlier in his career, he worked at the U.S. Department of Justice and at the United Nations as a junior legal officer, serving at missions in The Hague, Phnom Penh (Cambodia), and Washington, D.C. He earned his Legal Education Certificate—a professional certification to practice in the former British West Indies—in 2024.
Jackie Parker

Jackie Parker has provided paralegal and client and document support for Johnson Greene Law Group for nearly two decades. She is also a Notary Public for the District of Columbia.
Previously, Ms. Parker worked for over 25 years in the United States Senate, 18 of which were with U.S. Senator David Pryor (D-AR). She is also a former Clinton administration political appointee to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she served as executive assistant to the Administrator of the Rural Utilities Services. She retired from the federal government in 2000 with 32 years of service.

Brad Johnson is the firm’s founder and currently serves as Of Counsel to the Law Group. Mr. Johnson serves on the boards of the Capitol Hill Business Improvement District, the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, the Global Land Alliance, and is the President of the Capitol Hill Association of Merchants and Professionals (CHAMPS).
